Next Steps in the application process

CTE, Selective Enrollment, IB, Military, Magnet school applications submitted

Attend your appointments , interviews and scheduled assessments.

If you have a change of address, email, or telephone number complete a modification form.

If you want to modify your school or program choices complete an application modification form and submit it prior to January 23.

February 21 : high school notification letters will be mailed by this date for the above programs.

After notification letters are received

Students will receive multiple offers. If you have questions about choosing the best one visit www.cps.edu for school performance information, school websites, or visit the schools in person.

If you did not receive an offer for the Selective enrollment school of your choice, or did not get an offer from a selective enrollment school after you applied and tested, consider applying to your choice through Principal's Discretion application. These applications are available in March.

If students did not receive an offer, we can explore other options. There is an End-of-Year CityWide Options process in early May.

If you have made your choice and have accepted an offer, please provide me with your signed offer letter. This information is required to be entered into our system to project your child to their school choice for the 2015-16 school year.

It has been a pleasure to work with students and parents during this process. I am happy to meet with you and your child to assist in their best selection for high school.
