99 TMS Students Nominated for April Boomerang Recognition!

On June 2nd, we celebrated the nominations of 99 Tamanend students for April's Boomerang Asset: Reading for Pleasure. The group was so big that we needed to move our celebration from the Library to the Cafeteria! Special thanks to Tamanend parents, Mr. and Mrs. Margraff for supplying the ice cream treat for our celebration. And thanks to the students, parents, and staff who nominated so many of our amazing Tamanend students for this recognition. Talk about Tamanend Together!

Congratulations to Anjika P. who was Tamanend's Honoree for Reading for Pleasure. We don't think a day goes by without Anjika referencing a book she is reading or has read. She is a great reminder to all of us to find a book to enjoy!

Neshaminy Manor Seniors Prom

Our Community Service Club recently traveled to Neshaminy Manor for their annual Seniors' Prom. Music and smiles were enjoyed by all.

Friday Resource Concerts

For the past two weeks, we have closed the week with a Resource Concert. A small number of Resources made reservations to come see live performances by our Jazz Band, Gold'n'Blues, and String Ensemble, while the rest of the school watched on closed circuit television. We thank our Music teachers and students for this great opportunity to end each week on a high note.

Gold'n'Blues & Chieftains Events

While Gold'n'Blues is performing in Valley Square, Chieftain Chorus is sponsoring a service fundraiser at Panera Bread this Thursday from 4-9 p.m. If you print and bring this flier,http://www.cbsd.org/cms/lib010/PA01916442/Centricity/Domain/1578/Panera%20fundraiser%206-11-15%20-%20Quarter%20Sheets.pdf, Panera will donate up to 20% of the receipts to Find Your Instrument, a charity that provides singing instruction to underserved elementary schools in Philadelphia. We hope to see you in Valley Square for both great events this Thursday, June 11th!

Fro Yo Wednesday - June 10th!

Summer Reading

All middle school students in our district are expected to do a significant amount of reading throughout the entire year. The state standard recommends twenty-five books per year! Over the summer, all students entering grades seven, eight, and nine must read at least two books. When students begin the new school year, they will be required to complete an activity related to one of the two required books. Students should make sure they have completed the reading of the two books before returning to school.

Lost and Found

We have gathered all the lost and forgotten items. If you are missing clothes, shoes, coats, glasses, or a phone from the school year, please visit Tamanend's Main Office Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.. All items not claimed will be donated on Monday, June 15th to a Woman's Place in Doylestown.
