Meet LMMS!

Welcome our new basketball coach-Coach Louis!

Big picture

My name is Vince Louis and it’s an absolute pleasure to be welcomed to the Leavelle McCampbell Middle School family, as the Head Boys Basketball Coach. I’m originally from Augusta, Ga and 2009 graduate of Glenn Hills High and a member of the 2008 Basketball State championship team. My family and I (Wife: Jasmine/ Sons:Ayden and Landon) just recently relocated to the CSRA from the Metro Atlanta area.

I’ll be serving as a Lab Proctor at Aiken’s Center for Innovative Learning (Pinecrest School).

My passion for the game of basketball stems from my playing days throughout high school and college. I’ve had the opportunity to coach for several years as a head and assistant coach at the middle and high school level. (Marist, Atlanta Jewish Academy & Holy Innocents’ as well as AAU/Travel Basketball)

It’s my vision to develop a culture rooted in excellence, teamwork, selflessness, accountability, and sound decision making; that will be reflected in the student- athletes on and off the court.

Tireless Teacher Award

Mr. Sirk

Congratulations to Mr. Sirk for being our first “Tireless Teacher” award winner for the 2020-2021 year. Mr. Sirk's attitude is tireless. He never loses sight of the ultimate goal, working WITH students to help them be their best. In everything he does, or anything we do as a team or even as a school, he makes sure we step back and consider how this impacts the students and whether it gets us toward that ultimate goal. He inspires us every day!

Parents please remember if your child is a car rider he/she cannot be picked up at the bottom of the hill. You must go through the car line.

Starting at 7:55 our traffic is shifted to drop off in front of the school. At 8:00, students must get a tardy pass. At 8:15, students must be signed in by a parent.

Carline is now complete by 3:30pm with very few students remaining. After 3:30pm, please pick your child up from the front.

Attention parents due to COVID-19 children are not allowed to play outside prior to dismissal. We understand many of you come from Byrd straight to Leavelle to pick up other children. It is a long time for little ones to sit.

Thank you for your continued support to keep our students safe and excelling to their fullest potential.

Wildly Important Goals

  1. Students grow a year's worth of growth on Reading Inventory or be on grade level.
  2. Increase authentic assessments and show a gain of 10% improvement on the SREB survey.
