NWEA MAPS WRAP UP
It has been a busy week at our MS/HS. Our students continue to amaze me. They have been working hard and even though we had glitches when testing for MAPS our first round of winter benchmarking, they have continued to remain positive and focused on doing their best on these assessments. Our high school students have successfully completed their NWEA MAPS testing this past week. Our middle school students will finish up next week on Tuesday with their reading test. For students who were absent on any of the scheduled testing days we will look at make up testing on February 2nd.
One area of concern that has come up recently is students bringing items to school and placing them in an unlocked locker. With many winter sports going on right now and a lot of traffic in and out of athletic locker rooms it is important for our students to lock their lockers. Lockers are also used by other schools for home games. If students are not going to lock their locker, they should really consider not bringing expensive items or putting money in their locker. Earbuds for example can run $200 and we just want to make sure that we keep things safe and secure. We will continue to monitor and do our best during the school day. Please just be aware and visit with your child about keeping things secure.
