Swan Valley Robotics Team
Are you interested in the STEM field? If you are, you should join the Swan Valley Robotics team. Robots are all around us. They’re used in many different professions such as manufacturing, transportation, and skilled trades. Today’s robotics members are tomorrow’s designers and programmers. Knowledge in these fields is not required to join. The team will offer help in training members how to perform tasks such as programming and tool use. For those interested in colleges, this program is right for you. First Robotics offers many scholarships to colleges all over. Links to some of these offers will be found at the bottom of this page. These scholarships are not given automatically. Participation is required of members. Competitions are composed of qualifying matches and finalists matches. Each year there is a different game, and a new robot design that must be fabricated to meet the challenge. If you are curious to see what it’s like at a competition, Bot Bash is being hosted at the Midland Dow High School on Saturday Oct. 29 from 8:00a.m. to 7:30p.m.. Entrance to the competition is free. For those looking to join robotics, an orientation meeting will be held in the auditorium on Thursday Oct. 27 at 6:00p.m..
