Boys Lacrosse Tryouts

Cambridge HS Lacrosse Tryouts begin Tuesday, Jan 18-20 at the CHS Stadium. Arrive by 3:40 pm for check-in, sessions will be 4:00-6:30 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

High Museum of Art's Teen Team

This is a link to apply to be a member of the High Museum of Art’s Teen Team. They pick 15 students (must be a rising junior or senior in 2022-2023) who wish to engage with art, culture, and history; develop workplace and team-building skills; and learn about a range of professional options and career paths. The Teen Team gets behind the scenes access to the museum, hosts Teen Nights and other public events/programming. There is a summer commitment, and the program runs year-long. Great opportunity for a student who wishes to pursue art and community outreach.

HBCU Battle of the Bands

HBCU Culture Homecoming Fest & Battle of The Bands is the most authentic HBCU Experience. The battle for ATL will feature five of the most entertaining Show-style bands: Alabama State, Benedict College, Fort Valley State, South Carolina State & Alabama A&M. Your ticket will include:

• Admission to the Battle of The Bands (Doors Open at 4pm and Show Starts at 5pm)

• Admission to the Fan Fest (10am -4pm; Includes: Live Performances, High School Bands, Drumlines, DJ, Food Trucks, Vendors, College & Career Fair)

Lost and Found!

Bears - missing something? All unclaimed lost and found items from the first semester can be found on the table outside the attendance office. Please come and claim your gear before the end of the month. On January 31, all unclaimed items will be donated to charity.

Going forward - we will clean out the Lost and Found and the end of each month. Please check the lost and found cabinet in the cafe if you have misplaced an item.

Course Corrections - Deadline Extended

Schedule Correction Request Form due date has been extended to 4:00 PM on Friday, January 14, 2022. Please submit the completed form to the Counseling Office or to your counselor via email before the deadline. Counselors will change the schedule in the order of submission upon approval.

Student and Parent Handbook (Revisions)

The Cambridge Student and Parent Handbook was created over the summer of 2021 to provide clear communication and expectations for all students and families. Questions and clarity were requested during the first semester on a few of these items:
  • Drop/Add Policy
  • Parking infractions
  • Leaving campus
  • Pre-approved Absences
  • Checking students out

PTSA Senior Scholarships

The CHS PTSA will be awarding four, $500 scholarships to 2022 graduates, including two scholarships awarded on behalf of the Class of 2020 Endowment Fund. The CHS PTSA scholarship is designed to recognize CHS seniors who have demonstrated exceptional character through school and community involvement, including leadership and achievement in areas such as academics, the arts, athletics, employment, and service to the community.

To be eligible, you must be a full-time student attending CHS, have a student membership in the CHS PTSA, have demonstrated excellence in behavior and discipline during your high school career. For more information and to apply.

EF Tours: Austria, Germany & Switzerland

Cambridge students are invited to join EF Tours for a once-in-a-lifetime educational experience in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland during the summer of 2023! Students, along with at least one parent, who are interested are encouraged to attend a virtual information session on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 7:00 until 8:00 pm. During this meeting, details will be discussed, including the itinerary, dates, and cost of the trip - including a risk-free enrollment period and payment options will be discussed.
