APS dignitaries, Atlanta City Council members and past principals are expected to attend the Bunche Middle School Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on October 14th, 2015.
The Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the thirty-million dollar school in southwest Atlanta is the jewel of the community. Atlanta Public Schools spared not one detailed when laying out this state-of-the-art school for a much-deserving community. The first building was erected in 1979 and was led by over different principals. The current principal, Mr. Mario Watkins, has served Bunche for three years. Beginning his fourth year in an awesome facility has been one of the major highlights of leadership at Bunche. Check our website on October 15, 2015 for pictures of the ceremony, if you are unable to make this event.

Bunche Fine Arts Department is in demand. They performed at the State of the Schools Addressed and impressed the crowd by performing the David T. Howard Alma Mater eloquently.

The Algebra Project comes to Bunche
The Algebra Project is a Project Based curriculum created by Civil Rights icon Bob Moses. Students in this program investigate real world context using community based and hands on projects. This class is taught by Ms. L. Glass.
Think Through Math
Think Through Math is a software program used at Bunche Middle School. Students can practice their math skills in class and at home. They can interact with

Write On!
The ELA department is excited about implementing our new Step Up to Writing curriculum! The innovative strategies taught in this program will strengthen the writing skills of our students.
Social Studies Standards Come Alive at Bunche Middle School
Bunche Middle School is bringing the social studies standards alive through the process of studying primary source documents. Students on all grade levels wrote an essay around an analytical questions. Upcoming Events: Eighth grade students will visit the Center for Civil and Human Rights on October 20 & 21st
Bunche Goes Green through Service!
On September 26th, the science department of Bunche Middle School partnered with JE Dunn Construction Company for the Green Apple Day of Service. Students decorated recycling bins, discussed the importance of being environmentally friendly and participated in a Sustainability Poster Contest. Eighth grader Maya McQueen was the 1st place winner! Go Green! Go Chargers!
