Perfect Attendance/Honor Roll Recognition - April 4th
Benchmark Testing - April 9th and 10th
If you have a 3rd grader, please make sure he/she gets plenty of rest and eats a healthy breakfast on Monday and Tuesday. Please schedule medical appointments for after school on those days to ensure your child can complete the benchmarks during the time period.
If you are visiting campus on those days, please be aware that students will be taking the benchmarks in multiple locations throughout the building. We do ask that parents not visit 3rd graders for lunch on benchmark days. Thank you for your help in keeping our hallways quiet on those days.
2018-2019 Incoming Kindergarten Parent Meeting - April 26th

A few of the things we have accomplished this year, we purchased a new radio for PE, new pea gravel to make the playground safer, we gave money to the reading lab for new books, we coordinated monthly snacks/lunches for our teachers, and paid for 5 teachers to attend a conference.
Please come to the next meeting Wednesday April 4 at 5pm in the LVES Community Room to learn more.

Counselor's Corner
Hello LVES Families! Have you taken a look yet at our Leaves of Kindness tree in the hallway by the cafeteria? It is continuing to grow with many children’s acts of kindness written on each leaf! The students are enjoying being recognized for these acts on the morning announcements too! I am going to keep the tree up for inspiration and as a reminder of all the simple things kids can do to show kindness and respect to their classmates and teachers--and because I want to see how big our tree can get!
We are wrapping up our guidance lessons on being Trustworthy. Students have been learning the meaning and value of being a trustworthy, honest, and responsible person, and that they can show that they are trustworthy by demonstrating in their words and actions that people can believe them, and depend on them to do the right thing. As parents, you can also teach your children the importance of knowing who they can trust.
Thank you for continuing to support all of our efforts at LVES to have a safe, responsible, and respectful climate at our school!
"We need people in our lives with whom we can be as open as possible. To have real conversation with people may seem like such a simple, obvious suggestion, but it involves courage and risk." ~Thomas Moore
¡Hola familias LVES!
~Thomas Moore
