NCCAT-S
Nevada Comprehensive Curriculum Audit Tool for Schools
NCCATS Rational
- Required by Nevada Department of Education for all 3 Star and below schools.
- All schools that remain a two star school for consecutive years must complete an initial audit (completed by all staff members).
- Acceleration Zone and state want every site that has a new administrator in the last two years to have all staff participate in this process.
- Results are to be used to determine site's strengths and high priority areas for improvement.
- District and state expectations are that these high priority areas are incorporated into the School Performance Plan and utilized to determine how Title I budget is spent.
How to Score this Audit Tool!
* Select a rating for each Element
1- Area of Need (Less that 50%) FEW- Some
2- Area of Concern (50%-74%) Some to Many
3- Meets Expectation (75%-94%) Most
4- Exemplary (94% and above) All
* Select artifacts that represent a rating of Meets Expectation or Exemplary
- You only need to select 2-3 artifacts to keep this process simple
- One solid artifact would suffice
- Try not to select numerous artifacts as if audited by state we would need to show all of them....
* It's about the Conversation more than the Score!
