Inference was the topic for November for both sixth and seventh grade ELA classes. Sixth grade ELA classes listen to "Fireworks" by Katy Perry and created a flyer on what they "inferred" from the song. Seventh grade ELA classes listen to the same song and using the lyrics answered questions within their group. GT classes came to the library to learn how to use the databases for their MSIP research topics. Students learned how to save articles to their drive and cite sources. Each student left with a research packet containing research tips, search strategies and citation information. The library hosted the first annual TELPAS Cafe. Mrs. Garcia's ESL students came to the library to practice their speaking skills by creating turkeys and using ChatterPix to tell their turkey's story.
