Letter From The Principal
15/November/2020
Dear Families,
Happy Sunday!
This is the last week before students and staff are off for the Thanksgiving holidays. This a great time to reflect on all the good things in your life. While off, it is important to stay safe by continuing to follow the safety guidelines by the local, state, and federal health organizations. Keep you families and friends safe these holidays.
Our teachers are planning on sending home all student supplies and resources as a precautionary measure. In the event that schools shut down, we want our students to be ready for continued learning. Please do not use any homework packets that may go home from teachers, unless instructed to do so.
These are unpredictable days. We are merely attempting to stay ahead of any emergencies.
We will keep all families updated.
On another note, thank you to all the families calling Nurse Scott for advice on whether or not to bring their children to school when they are in doubt. These conceivably small acts are huge when it comes to safety for all at our school. BIG, BIG THANK YOU!!!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
If you have any questions or concerns, please email or call at yvette.soliz@hayscisd.net, or (512) 268-8505.
Sincerely,
Yvette Soliz, Principal
Need a bed for your children?
The Austin Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace makes beds for kids that do not have beds. There is an application process, but once that is reviewed, the beds are brought out to the home and assembled there.
