MATC Agricultural Program
Upon interviewing the instructors, they were asked:
What is your overall purpose as an instructor for the Agricultural program at MATC?
What would you like students who might be thinking about joining your classes to know about the Agricultural program at MATC?
Mr. Belcher:
"My overall purpose is to train future agricultural/industrial leaders and give them soft skills in order to function in society."
"I would tell students who are thinking about joining to come look at the program. We have a lot to offer as far as leadership training and hands-on training. It’s a good program and we have two good Ag. teachers."
Miss Meier:
"My overall purpose as an instructor for the Agriculture Department in MATC is to prepare students for successful careers in the agriculture industry or to prepare students for success in pursuing a degree in agriculture from a college or university while also cultivating strong leadership skills in those students."
"I would like students who are thinking about joining an agriculture class to know that we learn about more than just welding, horticulture or animals. Students will also gain leadership and financial skills from these classes."
