5th Grade night is happening at Middle School North! Three basketball games, beginning at 5pm, are scheduled on the following dates:

Every year, on World Read Aloud Day, people all around the globe read aloud together and share stories to advocate for literacy as a human right that belongs to all people.
- Contact Ms. Bryant if you would be interested in participating by reading to a class or two on February 1st as Lakeside celebrates the importance of reading.

* Parent University on Marijuana & Vaping Set for Feb. 7 CISD’s School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) welcomes Dr. Hal C. Urschel, Chief Medical Strategist for Enterhealth, for his presentation "Exploring the Myths of Marijuana & Vaping." This Parent University 2 will take place on Thursday, Feb. 7, at 7 p.m. in the CHS Lecture Hall

Personal Devices
As stated in the Elementary Student Handbook: Possession and Use of Personal Telecommunications Devices, Including Mobile Telephones. For safety purposes, the district permits students to possess personal mobile telephones; however, these devices must remain turned off during the instructional day, including during all testing, unless they are being used for approved instructional purposes. A student must have approval to possess other telecommunications devices such as netbooks, laptops, tablets, or other portable computers.
- This includes smart watches with cameras, video recorders, texting and gaming capabilities. We kindly request these stay home or remain in your learner's backpack during the school day.
Standard Response Protocol Drills:
We will use this section to update you on any recent drills your child may have practiced.
Boundary Realignment
Update: There will be a Facebook Live Event on January 16th beginning at 6:30pm where boundary alignment will be addressed. Feel free to tune in from the comfort of your home.
