HMS is lucky to have an amazing PTO. They continue to work hard for our families, students and staff. Here is what has been planned to show appreciation to the entire staff. Thank You!

ABC Countdown to Summer
We are on the home stretch! Only 27 days of school are left. While we have lots of teaching and learning to do, we have planned some fun activities for all of HMS!
PAWS Time
PAWSTime
During PAWS Time on Thursday, April 27th, HMS students listened to the book How to Be a Lion, written by Ed Vere and read by HMS School Counselor Mrs. Walsh! Students discussed examples of this month’s theme, compassion, in the text, then created their own lion face project to bring home.
The PAWS Time theme for the month of May is Friendship. On Thursday, May 4th, students listened to the book Melia and Jo, written by Billy Aronson and read by HMS Computer teacher Mrs. Hatfield! Students discussed what made each of the main characters unique, and how they could be friends even though they were so different from each other. Students then created and tested their own model airplanes, similar to the one the characters in the story built together.
