Our student employee, Maddie, is eagerly counting down the number of school days left, as are many of you. We enter the month of May on Sunday, leaving just 20 work days to go. May is also the time we pause and do performance evaluations. Our Employee Evaluation form describes employee skills and traits that are identified with job success. The purpose of this evaluation is to recognize the performance quality of the employee and provide direction for improvement. Since we are all human, everyone will have an area the supervisor will identify to work on, receive training and improve. The evaluation process is not a form of discipline and really is something to look forward to, not fear. Annually, the employee’s supervisor will complete this evaluation form and meet with the employee. The evaluation process is an important tool to identify and congratulate employees on their strengths and to help them set goals for achieving success. I firmly believe that, as a team, you were able to perform miracles during the pandemic due to your willingness to grow, learn and change. That dedication to continuous improvement is what makes you such inventive and creative problem solvers and places you head and shoulders above others!
