Mustang Memo
8-23-2020
We have had a staff member at the high school test positive for Covid today. We have conducted contact tracing with the county health department and contacted all of those affected. At this time we have reached a point to enter distance learning at the MS/HS for the week of August 24th. We do not have the capacity to adequately staff the site and ensure the well being of all stakeholders.
The elementary will continue as normal, but all middle school and high school students will work from home this week. If you did not get a chance to fill out the survey from our previous message please take the time to do so. It will let us know who needs meals and paper packets. The link can be found at the bottom of the page.
Meals will be provided for hs and ms students from 10:00 am-12:00 pm in front of the cafeteria. It will be drive thru only and we will deliver it to your vehicle. The pick up line will run west to east, so please come in front of the cafeteria from the gym.
All extra curricular activities for this week have been cancelled.
Students going to Kiamichi Tech will not attend the week of August 24.
A determination will be made at the end of the week, with assistance from our county health department, about returning to school on the 31st. These decisions are very difficult and there are no "right" answers this year. As always we are thankful for your patience and understanding. We truly value all our students and staff and are always balancing the many factors that are involved.
If you need a paper packet or have questions please contact the office at 580-295-3761 or email Robin Roberson at rroberson@rockcreekisd.net
Sincerely,
Rob Frederick
