A Note from Mrs. Mathe
As a reminder, there will be no school tomorrow, Friday, March 11th. It is a staff development day. Then the following week is our spring break! I hope you all have a wonderful spring break and we will be back in school after the break on March 21st. If you are traveling, safe travels. If you are staying home, I hope you are able to make some memories with your kids!

The 2022 Powell Candyland a carnival is Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 2:00-6:00 pm! Please be on the lookout for more information in the next few weeks!
Punch Cards go on sale Monday, March 7- March 20th for presale. Click here to purchase punch cards. After that punch cards will be available at the carnival. Our EARLY BIRD SPECIAL is to buy 5 cards, get 1 free - for $25 (cards are $5 each) - and the first 100 customers get a Powell drawstring sack pack!
Our Silent Auction will go LIVE on Friday, March 11. The Auction will be run through 32 Auctions website. Click here to preview posted auction items.
DONATIONS NEEDED: We are gearing up for a Candylicious time and need some help from our families by donating 2 liter sodas and movie theater size candy for our Ring Toss & Candy Walk. Please drop off your donations to the front office prior to March 25th! Thank you!

EFTA VIRTUAL STUDENT JOB FAIR
Do you know a company that is looking to hire?
If so, please pass this information along!
Conroe ISD is partnering with Education for Tomorrow Alliance and Willis ISD to offer a Virtual Job Fair for local juniors and seniors. We are looking for businesses that would like to participate in this opportunity to share information with high school students and soon-to-be graduates seeking full-and part-time employment. The Virtual Job Fair will take place March 29 & 30 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM via Zoom.

Do you want to recognize an AWESOME Powell teacher? If so, follow the steps below:
- Log in to Parent Access Center (PAC).
- Click on communication.
- Choose Staff/Teacher excellence from the drop down menu.
- Select the employee to receive recognition from the drop down menu.
- Click create TAE.
- Click any of the pre-populated choices that apply.
- Type any additional comments in the Additional Comment box.
- Click the box labeled Create Teachers Achieving Excellence button.
- Done!

Prescreening for our Safety
Self-Prescreening: To ensure the health and safety of all students and staff, all individuals should conduct a self pre-screening daily for COVID-19 symptoms. Individuals waiting for COVID-19 test results due to symptoms or individuals currently experiencing any of the symptoms listed that are new and/or not normal for them, should stay home and consider seeking medical care and/or COVID-19 testing. Symptoms consistent with COVID-19 include:
- fatigue
- cough or shortness of breath
- sore throat
- congestion or runny nose
- significant muscle pain or body aches
- loss of taste or smell in the last 10 days
- diarrhea, vomiting, or abdominal pain
- feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0F
