Cannon Connection
A newsletter for Cannon Elementary parents - 2017-2018
Week of October 30, 2017
Hi Cannon Parents!
Below are some important reminders for all of our Cannon families:
- EARLY RELEASE @ 11:45 is scheduled for this week on Thursday, November 2nd. Teachers will be sending home information about parent/student conferences that will be scheduled on this date.
- WE NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE! We have noticed that some parents are arriving to school early and sitting in their cars in the parking lot with their students, to wait for the bell to ring. As a result, we have staff members that are unable to get a parking space! Please help us out by going through the car line to drop off your students when you arrive in the morning! Also, we have noticed that many of our parents are on their cell phones as they come through the car line. Please remember that there are no cell phones allowed in school zones, so please help us keep our students safe by avoiding cell phone use during this time. We appreciate your help!
- SUPPORT our school by participating in this year's PTA Fundraiser, a Read-A-Thon! Information came home with your child last week - please take a few moments to see how you can participate! This is a GREAT way to encourage wonderful reading habits for your child(ren) AND support our school! There are some awesome prize incentives, including Principal for the Day; Lunch & Limo; Rita's Ice Parties; and selecting prizes from the Prize Patrol!
Thank YOU for all you do to support our students, staff, and school!
Proud to be your principal,
Mrs. Blizzard
