Burnside's Library Buzz
Spring, 2016
April is School Library Month
What's Happening in the Library
The library has been buzzing this spring as we celebrated reading and project based learning. Third-fifth grade students have started getting used to their laptops while learning about famous African American leaders. They researched careers of the future and shared their presentations during the career fair. Kindergarten and Second Grade classes formed reading buddy partnerships to celebrate Read Across America Day. Many of our classes learned that schools are similar as they video conferenced with classes from Texas, New York, and Pennsylvania during Read Around the Planet.
Students enjoyed shopping during the Scholastic Book Fair.
Future food scientists share their career choice with a kindergartner during Career Day.
First Grade shared their fairy tales while video conferencing during Read Around the Planet.
