2016 Bond Election
Dear Parents,
Tomorrow is the Beaty Family Picnic from 11:15 am-12:15 pm at Eldorado Park (located behind the school). Please bring a snack or lunch and a blanket. We hope to see you there!
Also, we are excited about our end of the year party. Ms. Referente and I are asking parents to send $3 with your child by May 20th. We will be providing all food and drinks for the children. Please check your child's folder tomorrow for a form with more details about the party and please check 'yes' or 'no' if you will be in attendance. We hope to see you there!
Finally, please do not forget to vote on May 7th for the bond proposal to fund initiatives recommended by the Plano ISD Facilities and Technology Force Task. The new bond proposal will address the needs of our district as a whole and that of early childhood programs, which directly impact your child. Furthermore, the bond measure will result in a zero tax rate increase.
Attached is a link to learn more information about the bond proposal. Please consider supporting the district and our school by going out and voting in support of the bond measure on May 7th!
Thank you for helping our staff by checking your child's folder and sending in toileting items, etc. as needed. We are so grateful for your continued support!

What We Are Learning And Doing: Gardening
This week we are learning about gardening with an emphasis on flowers and herbs through stories and multisensory activities. At the beginning of the week we released our class butterflies. The children were amazed to see the caterpillars' transformation into beautiful butterflies!
We learned about the gardening process through stories and a powerpoint sequencing activity before actually planting seeds of our own. We also practiced fine motor skills by cutting herbs. The aroma of rosemary, sage, thyme, and basil was refreshing! The children (and adults) enjoyed this multisensory activity so much! Tomorrow we will use the cut herbs to create a collage.
The children are enjoying our classroom garden pretend center and sensory table that's full of sand, buckets, and tools. We're also enjoying our integration time with Ms. Referente's class. The children have had a blast playing in our neighbors' classroom ice-cream shop! On Friday, we will make dirt pudding!
Thank you for your continued support!
