Week 7: September 28-October 2
We had a wonderful time with the grandparents today! It was so fun to meet YOUR parents! Students and grandparents discussed what school life was like "back then" (we cleared up our question about whether or not the world was black and white). The grandparents also helped the kids complete a timeline of the kids' lives. Grandparents toured the room, met classmates, read with their grandchildren, and even got to learn some math games! Check out the pictures below.
Reading - We will learn about the author's purpose and distinguish between writing to entertain, inform, or persuade.
Writing - We will continue to learn personal narrative writing tips.
Grammar - We will continue to learn about nouns.
Math - We will learn different subtraction strategies.
Science/Social Studies - We will discuss school life past and present.
