Team SWIFT Weekly News
For the Week of December 30, 20102
DIW Update
We are excited to announce that a new group of Designers will be joining Origami Owl just after the New Year!
The remaining weeks in 2012 are busy with fulfilling holiday orders and celebrating the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. Thursday, January 3rd will be the next release date for our Designers in Waiting (DIW).
After this first welcome wave on January 3rd, we will be returning to our regular weekly invitation process. We look forward to welcoming our new Designers and to growing our current Designer’s teams in 2013!
And don't forget to add your DIW'S to our Future Swiftee's FB Group. It's a great place for our future team members to learn about us, our team and the company.
The Tortoise and the Hare
Have you ever heard of the children's story called The Tortoise and the Hare? If you haven't, I've included a link to the story. Please read the story first and then continue reading this blog because you will need to be familiar with the story first before you can understand the points that I'm going to make as to how this correlates to building a network marketing business.
There are a lot of "hares" in network marketing. In the almost 6 years that I've been involved in this industry, I see them all of the time. One of my mentors Jeff Olson tells a story in his training about the "insurance guy" that is very typical in network marketing.
You recruit a guy who is the #1 insurance salesperson in his company. You are very excited because this guy has a sales background and a proven track record of being successful in sales. This guy goes out and in his first week he sponsors 5 of his sales buddies. The very next week his buddies each go out and sponsors 5 of their friends. Now you are so excited! You say to yourself "I am so happy, I finally found one of my A players"
90 days later, none of them are in the business anymore and you are standing around wondering what happened.
Anybody can get off to a fast start in the network marketing industry. However, the real question is, are you able to build a sustainable business that is going to spit off cashflow to you and your family for the rest of your life? Only a select few are able to do that because only a select few have the discipline and the fortitude necessary to build and create that type of business.
I've seen people in my company race through the compensation plan. Some of them have even created checks of $2,000, even $5,000 their very first month in the company. However, because they had the mentality of the hare, they weren't able to build a sustainable business and as a result, they are no longer involved in the business.
In fact, I know of a number of people in my company who were able to earn a $100,000 income over a 12 month period who are either no longer with the company or if they are still with the company, they aren't earning anywhere near that amount right now. I've even seen people who were able to earn a $250,000 income over a 12 month period who are either no longer with the company or are not earning anywhere near that amount.
It doesn't matter if you build this business slow or fast. What really matters is your ability to build this business steady. The person that is able to engage in a steady consistent stream of activity over a sustained period of time is the person who will be able to build the lifetime residual income that we all dream about in this industry.
So which one are you? The tortoise or the hare?
Hoot Loot, Title's and Chains.....OH MY!!
1.
Check your Hoot Loot! I have looked over the team and there are many people within dollars of your next HL increment. Remember HL is earned for every $250 in volume. To check your volume:
- Log into your Back Office
- Click Commissions (Top)
- Click Volumes (Left)
- You want to find the current month and look at "Total PV"
If you are under $250 - No HL will be earned on the 10th of the following month.
If you have $250-$499 - $25 in HL will be earned.
If you have $500-$749 - $50 in HL will be earned and so on.
2.
If you have a team, remember to earn at your current title or a title you have
earned this month you must meet all of the qualifications on the career plan.
The career plan is easy to read if you take it column by column.
For example:
To earn at as a Team Leader you need the following:
(Take out the career plan and follow along)
Personal Volume (PV) - $500
PERSONALLY SPONSORED ACTIVE DESIGNER - 3 Active Frontline
(This is your frontline and "Active" is $99 in PV)
TEAM STRUCTURE - You are not required anything in this column.
CENTRAL TEAM VOLUME (CTV) - $1500
(You can view this in your backoffice by following the same instructions as above but looking at "Total GV")
If you meet or exceed all of these goals you will earn as a TL for the entire month!
You have to do this each month to earn at that level. If you don't you will earn at the level you have achieved BUT remember that you will never lose your title or your team if you don't qualify.
Remember qualifying as active not only helps your mentor but it helps your entire team. Growth is GOOD!
3.
The last day of December 2012 is the VERY LAST DAY for us designers to get the FREE BALL CHAIN with a locket purchase. It's a great time to stock up. This will add $8 in ALL PROFIT to your income.
As always, if you have questions or need assistance, reach out to your mentor. You can also reach up the lineage if more assistance is needed.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Planning Ahead
Erin Brackett
Setting and achieving our goals for a New Year can be somewhat daunting. I know that each and every one of us are thinking about bookings, organization, marketing, etc. While I can't choose a plan of action that suits you best, I am going to try and share some ideas that your team mates use and other leaders in the industry.
This method is from Erin Brackett. Erin joined in June and is on my 3rd line representing Katie Blackmore's leg of my team.
Erin makes a chart for parties and new team members. She adds a space for what she would like to accomplish personally for the year. These charts are to help her keep her focus.
As you can see on her 2013 chart. She has set a goal for 88 party squares and 24 recruit circles. When you book a party or have someone interested in joining your team, you add them to a circle/square. When the party is help or the team member signs on, you color it in!
Now everyone is different. The amount of parties that you can personally handle or achieve depends on your life. Do you work full time outside of the home? Does your husband have a schedule that you have to work around? Make sure you take all of these factors into account as you are setting your realistic goals for the New Year.
Figuring out methods that help you is key! Most people are visual, so having something like this, in front of you, can help tremendously! Not only to see the road you need to travel but to also look back at the ground you have already covered! This is a great way to keep track visually and keep everything organized.
Do you have a system that works for you? Please share! Email me your ideas at:
