News from Mrs. Hill and Mrs. Spencer

We hope you and your family enjoyed the weekend! Here at Central, we are ready to kick off a new week full of learning, fun, and celebration of kids. Please join us Tuesday evening at 5:00 for our next Community in Action (CIA) meeting in the library! Book fair will be going on as well, so you can have some extra time to shop.

Our next big event is GRANDS day, October 1 and 2. Book fair will begin Monday, September 28 and continue through the week! We have much to look forward to at Central.

Please be saving Box Tops at your home! We will provide papers for you to tape or paste your Box Tops on and send to school. More information provided in the newsletter below. Start collecting!

Fall Picture Day is Coming!

Fall Picture Day is coming October 22! We will send information home with your child soon so you will know about ordering and pricing. Late winter we will have class pictures made, and during the early spring we will have spring picture opportunity.

FYI: The fall picture is what we use for our Central Elementary Yearbook.

We Love Our Counselor Mrs. Howard!

Mrs. Howard is our amazing counselor, and she is available when our kids need her! She is also here to serve our families. Each week our teachers give out M&Ms (not the real ones!) for kids' good choices and acts of kindess. Every Friday we have M&M winners who come to her office for a prize. This is just one of many things Mrs. Howard does to make our school a great place!

#CelebrateMonday

Each Monday we celebrate happenings in our school via social media. Check out our Twitter feed and Facebook page each Monday to celebrate with us! The hashtag #CelebrateMonday tracks all the schools in our country who participate in this wonderful event. So many great things happen throughout our day, and we want you to feel a part. It is a great way to start a week!

Box Tops for Education

Our school collects Box Tops for Education, so please be saving these at home! We are hoping to purchase a brand new flag pole for our campus. The funds we raise with Box Tops will help us achieve our goal.

Below are links to some collection pages for Box Tops. You are free to print these, or you may ask your child to pick up a sheet at school! We will have them available for you.

FRIDAY IS PANTHER PRIDE SPIRIT DAY!!!!!!

Show your Panther Pride this Friday by wearing your red, white, and black to support our Cabot Panthers! They do not play at home this week, but we still want to show our support! The Panthers are 3-0, so we want to support their undefeated season!

Encouraging Kids

Kids simply cannot receive enough encouragement and validation from adults. They need to always know we are in their corner, even when they make mistakes or bad choices. I like to use this list below as a reminder of how I can beter support kids as they learn to figure out who they are and how they want to contribute to our world.
