Drop-off/Pick Up Lane Reminders
Please read
We have had a handful of instances of drivers not following staff signals at the crosswalk and drivers getting out of their cars. We know you may need to help with boosters and seat belts, but please do not leave your car. Additionally, if you park at the church, please be sure you are not parking in the staff only spots; we want to maintain a positive relationship with our neighbor who graciously provides us with space whenever possible.
Halloween
The Halloween parade will start at 2:30 on October 31st. All parents are invited to watch the students parade around the exterior of the building if the weather permits. If it rains or is too cold, parents who have completed their volunteer training will be invited into the gym and cafeteria to watch the parade.
After the parade, each afternoon class will have a party. The parties will end around 3:30 to allow parents to leave the building before we start our dismissal process. If you take your child home with you, you will sign them out on the sign out sheet inside the classroom. Please make sure that you sign your child out of the building.
We look forward to seeing you on HALLOWEEN!

Churchill Cluster Elementary G3-5 Math Night
Parents and caregivers are invited to hear a presentation about the PreK-12 Mathematics program in MCPS. The program is designed for families of students in grades 3 through 5. The evening is intended to clarify:
- the learning students are expected to demonstrate each year in mathematics
- the differences between acceleration and enrichment and the role of each
- the expanded opportunities for advanced mathematics all along a student's journey through MCPS
The elementary principals will be joined by representatives from the PreK-12 mathematics team. We hope you'll be able to join us.
Montgomery Virtual Academy
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) offers a full-time virtual learning program through the Montgomery Virtual Academy (MVA). New this year, the admission season for MVA will occur in the fall from October to November in the online registration section in ParentVUE. This is the same window as the secondary regional/countywide programs' admission process. Admission to the MVA is open to students in Grades 2-12 during the 2024-2025 school year.
