CB Community Comes Together!
The CB Community comes together in support of a hometown soldier, 1st Lieutenant Thomas Dunn, Ghost Troop Executive Officer, and his Troop of 137 Soldiers in Kandahar, Afghanistan
On November 1, 2013, at 7:00 PM, CB West will play football against CB South. The teams may be rival teams but on this night all three high schools in the Central Bucks School District will be supporting 2006 CB South Graduate, Tom Dunn. Tom went to St. Jude, Unami Middle School, CB West and then to CB South when it opened. He graduated in the first graduating class at CB South, as class president. Tom played football for Lenape Valley, St. Jude, CYO Romans and Unami. Tom also played CYO basketball, baseball and volleyball. His commitment to football continued at West and South. Tom was Prom King at CB South and Mr. South in 2006. Tom has always been a humble person, leading by example and always a team player. He has a magnetic personality, is a man of character and is liked by many. Many of his achievements were by election of his peers.
During the November 1, 2013 football game, Stars and Stripes, Operation Eternal Gratitude and The Pride will be there collecting items from the list provided below. They will be shipping the items to Kandahar, Afghanistan. The goal is for the items to be received by Tom and his Company by the holidays. Although military personnel cannot receive monetary gifts while serving our country, monetary donations will be accepted to cover the cost of shipping. Items not brought the night of the game, may be brought to Central Bucks High School West Reception or Central Bucks High School South Reception. Checks can be made payable to: CB West Student Activity Fund Stars and Stripes or CB South Student Activity Fund Operation Eternal Gratitude. In the memo portion of the check please indicate Tom Dunn

CB West Choir Performs For Angela Lansbury!
News From The Orchestra...
We are proud to share with you the excitement surrounding the work of our CB West Chamber String ensemble's recording session that occurred on Monday evening at West Chester University.
Our West Chamber String ensemble recorded the string parts to a new orchestra composition by composers Stephen Melillo and Curt DeMott. The work is entitled “Courageous”.
The final recording will be given to the families of students and community members impacted by the tragedy of the school shooting last year at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. Composer Curt DeMott is the father of a Sandy Hook Elementary School student whose son was present last year during the shootings.
CB West students performed with great skill and emotion in a side-by-side collaboration with the chamber orchestra students from West Chester’s School of Music. The remaining parts of the work are being recorded in November by professional wind and brass musicians in Vienna, Austria and will be combined with the recordings made by our students.
The final product will be offered to all of the families from Sandy Hook as we approach the first anniversary of the school shooting tragedy.
