2. Often popular in third world countries
3. Can be transmitted from a medium host to a large host
Symptoms:
Infection of Ascaris Lumbricoides does not have any symptoms most of the time. There is a chance of having stomach pain or intestinal obstruction.
Treatment:
The treatment for Ascaris Lumbricoides is a dose of Albendazole.
Where is it found?
It has been found in over 150 countries around the world but is found mostly in temperate, tropic, and sub-tropic regions.
Preventative Steps
-Always wash your hands before preparing food
-Wash fruits and vegetables well
-Avoid eating raw vegetables when traveling to places known for Ascaris Lumbricoides
-Drink from bottled water
-Ensure that an area is as clean as possible and does not have damp roads
