HALO HIGHLIGHT
Dear Saints Parents,
At the start of the school year, you received an email from our Rector, Father Nathan Long, detailing his three goals, or areas of focus, for the 2018-2019 school year. He discussed advancement, financial transparency and campus ministry. I will address the first two in today’s letter.
In the adjacent graphic - also available on our website - you will see a breakdown of how funds from the 2018 All Saints Auction were allocated. Faculty and staff submitted requests, and a committee comprised of teachers, administration and community members considered those requests. We are proud to say everyone who made a request received some funds, if not their entire ask. Thank you for your support of the Auction and, ultimately, of our Saints. We truly believe the best way to show our gratitude is to be transparent in communicating where the funds are going and how we plan to spend them.
One final note about the Auction going forward. In the future, the funds raised by our Auction and other advancement efforts will be part of the school’s general operating budget. In other words, they will not be earmarked to specific items or causes. To maintain a spirit of transparency, you will receive a yearly report of our school’s budget – what was raised and where it was spent after each fiscal year.
Thank you once again for your continued support of St. Louis Catholic High School.
God Bless,
Andrew R. Bradley
Principal

St. Louis Catholic Week of Giving Raises $2,018 for Women's Shelter
At St. Louis Catholic, we seek to cultivate the hearts of servants in our students. Students actively served their community in the first week of December during the school’s first-ever “Week of Giving” led by the Yearbook staff, FBLA and NHS.
The week was a “spontaneous and magical” effort by students to encourage giving, said Yearbook Teacher Monica Core. Friday’s Christmas Dance on campus raised $2,018 for the Women’s Shelter.
“I think the reason the week was so successful is because it was student-led and from an organic desire to encourage giving,” Core said. “The students saw a need and came up with solutions. They came up with a week of activities and reached out to other clubs and teachers for help. We were blown away with the response. It seemed like everyone pitched in.”
