Thanks, Rocklin Police Department!

The Rocklin Police Department connected with Mrs. Stowers, Kindergarten teacher here at The Ranch, to bring their 9-1-1 assembly to Kindergarten and Second Grade. Ms. Jenn from RPD talked about when to dial 911, when not to, and how to support our community by knowing the difference. Check out the video below for a sample of what was discussed.

POPSICLE PARTY FOR OUR SEPT BOX TOP WINNERS!

In the month of September, our Coyotes and their families gathered 6,668 Box Tops for our school! To thank them, PTC hosted a Popsicle Party in the MPR during lunch time for students who turned in 20 or more. October's deadline for Box Tops turn in is October 26th, and we are giving away a Popcorn party for students who turn in 20 or more by the deadline. If you were absent on Friday 10/12 and didn't get your popsicle, we will find a way to make it up to you.

School Spotlight: Genius Hour

Mr. Haviland and Mrs. Lee's 5th grade class split up into groups. Each group picked their PASSION, researched it, and found a way they could help others with it. Then they implemented their plan through hands-on lessons, how-to videos, etc. The pictures below are just a sample of what groups are doing. There was soccer, football, art, crafts, writing, baking and a couple other great ideas. The big take away from this? How do we give back to others? GENIUS.

Each week, flyers that would have taken money & supplies to print and time to count out & distribute are placed on the VB on the school website. This is where many of our community partners advertise after school clubs, sports, child care and more.
