In Case You Missed It...
From the Superintendent's Office: BRRSD Citizen Advisory Committee on School Start Times
Dear Families of Current BRRSD Students:
The Board of Education recently passed a resolution calling for the formation of a Citizens Advisory Committee on School Start Times. This group of representative stakeholders will examine options and present to the Board of Education, by June 2020, a plan to move the middle school and high school to later, healthier school start times while balancing the developmental needs of primary and intermediate school students.
It is the Board's goal to include association reps, staff members, community members, high school student(s), and Board members. We are working to keep the committee to no more than 20 individuals while still building a representative cross-section of community interest groups.
All interested stakeholders are encouraged to self-nominate.
For anyone interested in participating, we are asking for a commitment of 3-5 evening meetings between February and March for the development of the plan, with an understanding that the work may continue into April, a presence for the presentation to the Board of Education, and the willingness to take an active role in communicating the final recommendations of the committee.
The first meeting of the committee will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Wade building on March 3. The remaining meeting dates have yet to be confirmed, but we are looking to schedule meetings at 6:30 p.m. at the Wade Building, on either Mondays or Tuesdays in March and April. No meeting should last more than two hours.
Click here to self-nominate. The form will close at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18.
All nominees will receive a response no later than Monday, February 24.
Thank you.
Bradley Gardens Little Loop Baseball Registration
Is your son or daughter looking to learn the FUNdamentals of baseball this Spring in a positive and relaxed environment? Consider Bridgewater's original baseball program, Bradley Gardens Little Loop! Celebrating its 62nd year, the Bradley Gardens Little Loop baseball program emphasizes teamwork and sportsmanship and provides quality baseball instruction to every child who participates in the league regardless of skill level.
The Little Loop season runs from approximately April 2020 through June 2020, and is open to all boys and girls between the ages of 4 ½ and 12, regardless of their experience level. Players are placed into one of four divisions based on their age as of May 1, 2020. From beginners to more advanced players, all are welcome to play. Unlike other leagues, the Little Loop does not require parents to post work bonds before their children can participate in the league. We are an all-volunteer program and a non-profit organization. Our focus is on providing your child with the best baseball experience possible at an affordable price.
