Bus Network
By Laura Millican
A bus network is when all the workstations, servers and printers are joined to one cable. This is known as the bus. At each end of the cable a terminator is fitted to stop signals reflecting back down the bus.
The advantages and disadvantages.
The advantages are that it is easy to install, cheap to install and doesn't need much cable.
The disadvantages are if the main cable fail the entire network will stop working. The more devices added to it the slower it takes. Also it is a security risk as it will see all the data.
