Student Behavior
At McLoughlin, we believe behavior is communication and can be taught. We believe all students can meet expectations if they have the skills and if they don't we will teach them. Here are two of the most important guiding documents for behavior.
Classroom Environment and Self Regulation
One of the components of our evaluation rubric is classroom environment. See this link for language from the rubric.

Dyslexia
Great things are happening at JME!
- Ms. MacKender's students love listening and playing along to her read alouds.
- Ms. Coltrin's class respectfully agrees and disagrees with each other's thinking.
- Ms. Downing's class is summarizing beginning, middle, and end.
- Ms. Isaac's class is learning to represent their mathematical thinking using different strategies.
- Ms. Pfenning's class works collaboratively to support each other's thinking.
- Third grade is sharing ideas with each other and pod mates as they are always thinking of how they can impact student learning.
- Ms. Scott greets families as they drop off with an extra 5 minutes of her time.
- And so much more!
