Author and illustrator Brian Floca will visit the LCDS Lower School Library. Mr. Floca is the author and illustrator of Locomotive, winner of the 2014 ALA Randolph Caldecott Medal and a 2014 ALA Robert F. Sibert Informational Honor Book. He has also written and illustrated Moonshot: the Flight of Apollo 11, Lightship and the Racecar Alphabet. He illustrated the popular Poppy Stories series. Mr. Floca was born and raised in Temple, Texas. He graduated from Brown University and received his MFA from the School of Visual Arts. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
