Emerald Sketch ART Update
Classroom support: Art therapy for Santa Fe Teachers
After school Art therapy
The intention is to provide a therapeutic space for teachers to be comfortable and process your daily school routines. In the beginning the group will focus on establishing a sense of safety and how to foster that in your classroom routine. This emerging theme will then allow each of you to individualize your own “tool box” for use between sessions. This is an open group and teachers are welcome to attend any week when they are able.
Currently these groups will be lead by the founding Director of the Emerald Sketch, Nicole Porter Davis ATR-BC, LCAT. She was called to support among the first psychological response psychotherapists' in Newtown, CT following the Sandy Hook School Tragedy. These groups will be brought to you virtually through telecommunication on Zoom, a HIPAA compliant and confidential communication system, after school weekly or bi weekly (depending upon what suits your needs).
Once Weekly: Open Art therapy Sessions
- Monday or Thursday After School 3:00 or 3:30pm
Emerald Sketch Art therapy Response Team
Founded as the first psychological response program for the Sandy Hook School community in Newtown, CT the Emerald Sketch first helped bridge the gap in providing services while local reinforcements were established. Now the program provides Creative Arts therapies as an evidenced based form of trauma response for any community in need following a mass tragedy.
