It's that time of year again!
Up in the PLP office, we cannot believe it is the end of another year here. What's even crazier is that the 2014-2015 Fellows are about a month away from leaving our CNU home and taking on the world for the first time. We are so excited to have been a part of your journey for the past year. We have seen you learn and grow in and outside of the classroom (especially you Emily, Maria, and Brandon in Professor Hinz's Leading Change class!). We've heard the stories you have shared about leadership impacting your life through service, study abroad, and campus involvement (Thanks Coffeehouse speakers - Taylor & Matt, Hayley, Amanda, Brianna, Elizabeth, Julia, Codie, Ben and Marisa, and PLP Impact!). And we've had the chance to meet one on one with almost all of you, which has been a great opportunity that each of us has enjoyed immensely.
As the 3 PLP Fellows prepare to move on from CNU, we have been reflecting a lot on what this experience has been for us, how you all have touched our lives in some way, and the lessons we want to carry with us as we move forward. You will see below a few parting words from each of us, and we hope that you will come visit and say goodbye in the coming weeks before you head home for the summer. Thank you for everything you have given us over the last year. CNU is our home, and we are so thankful to have been a part of your journey in some way this year.
While goodbyes can be difficult, please know that PLP will continue to be in good hands. We will soon be passing the torch to 3 incredibly awesome ladies to take on the PLP Fellowship for the 2015-2016 academic year. They are so excited to share a little bit about themselves and to start working with you all next year. Check it out below!
Current Fellows
Kelsey Stiles - Current PLP Fellow for Leadership Development
What's one thing you want to share with the current students?
"Come up to the third floor of the DSU and hang out with the new Fellows. They are awesome and full of so much advice/wisdom about being a CNU student. Come talk to them about their experiences, ask questions, and seek out their mentorship!"What are you doing next year?
I will be staying at CNU an additional year to complete the MAT Program in Elementary Education! I am so excited to be a student Captain again and can't wait to see you all around campus!

Susan Patriquin - Current PLP Fellow for Experiential Learning
"Take advantage of everything CNU and PLP have to offer. Get involved in things you are passionate about and take them to new heights. Also study hard, work for relationships you care about, and give your time at CNU everything you've got. Don't be afraid to fail or try something new! Like Albus Dumbledore said, Help will always be given at Hogwarts (and CNU) to those who ask for it."
What are you doing next year?
I will be working with Education First, a global education company that specializes in study abroad and foreign exchange programming. I will be leading their summer program in Thornwood, NY.
