Best Carnival Ever!

Yesterday was so much fun. I honestly don't know which activity was my favorite, but I know the part that I loved most....the happy faces of all the kids! The hallways were filled with happy families and tons of laughter. Thank you to all of our JAE Families and Staff for making the 2019 Carnival a HUGE SUCCESS! It has been amazing to see a huge group of people jump into action.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to the most amazing PTO on the planet. They've worked nonstop on planning, decorating, scheduling, organizing, setting up, taking down, putting together, and taking apart. We appreciate all that you do to make our school the very best.

2nd Annual C.H.A.M.P. Summer Camp for 5th-7th Graders

Deputy Scott will be sending information and applications home with 5th graders. They are invited to participate in the Sumner County Sheriff's Office Summer C.H.A.M.P. (Character, Honesty, Attitude, Motivation, Positivity) Camp. The event will take place from June 3-7, 2019 from 8:00-3:00 each day. Applications are due no later than April 1st. You can return them to Deputy Scott at JAE.

Slow Down and Follow the Rules

On campus, drive slowly and carefully. People are speeding, and children are at risk of getting hurt. Speed-bumps will be installed by our Support Services staff in the coming weeks. Until that time, please do your part to keep our campus safe.

There is a crosswalk at the back of the school behind the playground. As you enter the loop, GO SLOWLY, and stop to let children cross.

From 8:00-8:45, parents and staff should not use the bus entrance. Please use the upper entrance closest to Gallatin Road, and drive carefully around the school.

If your child is a car rider, stay in the carline unless you are parking/walking with your child to the crosswalk. Do not stop behind parked cars to let your children out, and do not pull into a spot long enough for your kids to hop out. The parking lot isn't for drop-off or drive-through to avoid getting in the line. It is unsafe for children to walk between moving vehicles. Parents, please help us with this.

Important Change to Students' Cafeteria Accounts

Cafeteria mangers will no longer have the capability to transfer money between students' meal and general accounts. When money is placed into a particular account, it can not be shifted by the school staff.

What is the difference between accounts?

Meal Account: The meal account is only for breakfast or a hot lunch.

General Account: The general account is for milk, snacks, lunch, breakfast, adult meals, and child guest meals.

If you have any questions, please contact our amazing cafeteria manager, Jennifer Osborne.
