Team Building with S.T.E.M.

Students from Mrs. Carr's 4th-grade class at Yulee Elementary School worked together on β€œSaving Fred,” a STEM team-building project. Students used the Scientific Method to solve a problem. Fred’s (a gummy worm) boat capsized, and it’s up to our β€œengineers” to find a way to save him using four paper clips and a gummy lifesaver. No fingers! Hands on Character Traits

During reading in Ms. Scott's third-grade class at Yulee Elementary School, students learned about character traits through hands-on activities.

After learning about Philipe Petite and reading the book ¨The Man Who Walked Between the Towers¨, students constructed ¨towers¨, connected them with a ¨cable¨ and balanced various objects on the cable. Students determined which objects were the easiest to balance and determined Philipe´s daring, brave, and confident character traits.
