News You Can Use
The Rhode Island Department of Education is currently administering its yearly SurveyWorks Parent Survey, and they want to hear from you. This is an opportunity for you to provide feedback about our school and your students’ opportunities to learn. The survey results are most useful when all parents participate, so we are asking that you to take part in this survey.
What’s your Ferri experience? Your views on matters like the safety of your child at school, the way students are taught, the condition of the school, and how connected you feel to Ferri are important. By taking this short survey you can help make Ferri an even better place to be. Responses are anonymous so please be honest about your experience.
You can take the short survey online between March 11th and March 22nd. Students will be providing their opinions during the same window. To take the survey, visit: surveys.panoramaed.com/ride and enter 16111family. To access a paper copy, please contact Mr. Freddie Skipworth at 233-1930 ext. 2435.
Bullying Awareness Month
Earlier this month we surveyed parents and students regarding bullying and their overall feelings about the atmosphere here at N.A. Ferri Middle School. Even though the feedback was very promising, we are dedicated to making every student feel welcome & accepted.
In conjunction with the Johnston Police Department, Johnston Prevention Coalition, and Above the Influence we will be hosting a month-long initiative regarding bullying awareness & prevention for March.
There are a number of community-building activities students will be participating in throughout the month, including presentations by local agencies, advisory activities, and dress up days. We want all students to "Be A Hero" by Helping, Encouraging, and Respecting Others.
We encourage you to speak with your student about the importance of showing kindness, unity, and respect to everyone they meet. As always, by working together we can ensure Ferri is a great place to be.
