NEWS FROM THE HEADS

This week we have enjoyed inter-house cross country and many other curriculum delights including learning about Careers for National Careers Week. Year 2 learned about obscure jobs around the world; water slide tester, pet food tester, baby ostrich sitter! The girls wrote poems about what they would like to be when they are older.

The nursery children have enjoyed the topic on “our homes” and have created models of their own using boxes and card as well as making homes out of straw (“The 3 Little Pigs“ story which they acted out), igloos out of maize packaging and homes using sheets over the tables and foam bricks which they could play in.

NEW WEBSITE
By now you have probably noticed the School has launched a new website. We hope you like the new look and have been able to find your way around. We are aware that there were a number of quick links parents used from the landing page of the old site, but with our aim to create a cleaner, more logical site for prospective and current users, some of these are now tucked behind the menu. Here's a short 'how-to-find' guide! The website is an evolving process, so look out for details of the calendar integration in our next mailing.

Sports Team/Y6/Y11 Whole Class Photos - Tuesday 15 March
Please note that your daughter will need to have in school her full team kit. Y6 and Y11 whole class photos are also on the same day.
Year 9 GCSE Options
A letter has been given to your daughter to choose her GCSE options for September - please ensure that this is returned no later than Friday 18 March.
Commemoration Service - Tuesday 22 March
All parents are invited to join all Senior pupils and staff at this annual event, which will take place on Tuesday, 22 March at 2.30pm at the Magnet Leisure Centre. It is a chance to reflect on the year so far. All welcome.
Claires Court Old Boys v Desborough Old Boys Rugby Match - Friday 25 March
Come and support the players at Braywick Rugby Club on Friday 25 March at 2.00 pm. All welcome.
Early Buses/Activities/End of Term
Please note that early buses commence Monday 21 March.
No activities after school on Monday 21/Tuesday 22 March.
Wednesday 23 March - School finishes at 12noon for all Junior Girls and at 12.15pm for all Senior Girls. Nursery will operate a normal day until 3.30pm. Please note that After School Care is only available for Nursery children on the last day.
PTA NEWS
Saturday 19 March - Easter Egg Hunt
We've had tons of wonderful sweet designs and some very creative looking egg drop entries, although I've heard from a few parents that their egg drop entries aren't quite finished. As a result, we are happy to give you all until Wednesday to complete and get them in to school.
Our rota for the Easter Event is filling up, but we still have a number of gaps. If you are attending please volunteer just 30 mins of your time to help out. Contact Lynne Peach who will add you to the Rota (lynne@mostly.me.uk)
Summer Fete

U11 & U12 ISA Hockey Tournament - 9.30am meet. Tournament starts at 11am at Holme Grange. The girls will be back at school by 2.30pm (bring books for afternoon lessons).
U13a hockey v Furze Platt - 3.20pm meet for a 3.45pm start. Pick up from school at 4.30pm or catch usual bus home.
