Newsletter Week of March 20, 2023

Dear Nashoba Regional High School Community,

Happy first day of Spring!

It was another busy weekend for Nashoba! I had the pleasure of attending the musical on Friday evening, which was an amazing rendition of Mamma Mia! Our Nashoba drama students are so talented and the music performances brought true joy to the audience! On Sunday, Bill Grady, who has served as drama director for 30 years was honored in a special ceremony. Congratulations to Bill on his amazing legacy and we wish him well in retirement. Please take some time to watch this heartfelt and moving video tribute to Bill compiled by Friends of Drama - make sure you have a tissue handy!

Tribute to Bill Grady

Congratulations to our First Robotics Team for their first place victory at this weekend's north shore event! Nashoba First is now 6th in New England and is preparing for the New England championship competition in Springfield in April.

Last night our boys varsity hockey team won an exciting game against Scituate at TD Garden to become the 2023 Division 3 Hockey Champions! Congratulations to our players and coaches!

Reminder for our 10th grade students that ELA MCAS is on March 28th and 29th. Students and families will be contacted with specifics about testing rooms and chrome book information.

Reminder to students that 3rd Quarter closes on Friday March 31st.

One final announcement: Spring sports begin today.

Have a great week!

Sincerely,

Dr. Kate Boynton, principal

Cradles to Crayons Drive

Starting this Monday, 3/20, and going until Friday, 3/31, Project 351 members Madison Oxnard and Caroline Mattocks will be leading a drive to collect children's clothing in support of the non-profit Cradles to Crayons! Together with the student council, they are leading a school-wide competition to see which grade has the BIGGEST HEART. Please encourage your students to support their class's pride by donating new or gently used clothing sizes newborn to adult medium in the appropriate bins in the front hall. May the best grade win and prove which grade is the kindest in the pack!
