School Messenger
Good afternoon everyone,
Elk Island Catholic Schools uses a communication tool called SchoolMessenger to deliver email messages about possible school closures, safety alerts and more. We are currently expanding this system to include the ability to send critical alerts directly to cell phone numbers registered with us through the schools/PowerSchool.
We will be starting this process with SchoolMessenger over the next week and you will receive a message on your cell phone inviting you to participate - simply by sending a text message of Y or Yes to our school's short-code number which is 978338.
Attached is an information sheet which provides more information on this initiative.
If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at eicstalks@eics.ab.ca or call your school directly if you need to change contact information.
Many thanks,
EICS Central Learning Services

Busing Survey from Alberta Education
The department of Education with the Alberta government would like to get Alberta families views on student transportation and the student transportation eligibility criteria. To do so, they are conducting an online survey that will close on June 15, 2018.
These responses will help the government determine if changes are needed to the student transportation system, and if so, what changes to make.
To share your thoughts and priorities on the student transportation criteria, please fill out the online survey.
