Holiday Shop Volunteers Needed
Thank you for your interest in helping during Holiday Shop week. Please sign up below for any slots that you are able to assist. The Holiday Shop takes a lot of preparation prior to opening, assistance during the classroom shopping sessions, as well as tear down. If we do not have enough volunteers to fill all of the slots, regretfully the Holiday Shop will need to be cancelled. We appreciate your assistance in helping to make this year's Holiday Shop a huge success!

Media Center News w/ Mrs. Wolf
Havel’s Media Center has been buzzing with activities this fall. We just wrapped up a month long celebration of “Thinksgiving”. Students worked hard to solve puzzles and create strategies to problem solve, design & build items in our Maker’s Space area as well as focused on literature of the season. As December begins, our shift focuses to coding. Students will participate in a Festival of Coding celebration all month long. We kick off this celebration by participating in the world-wide Hour of Code week December 9-13. Millions of students in over 180 countries will participate in this amazing event. Visit the website https://code.org/learn to sample some of the coding activities students will use to explore the world of coding. In addition to coding on the computers, students will learn to program Ozobot robots in our Maker’s Space area. Seasonal literature will be shared and book check out will continue as we enter the time of year where curling up with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate makes for a perfect weekend afternoon or weekday evening. Make time to share your love of literature with your children this season and together set a goal for the new year to read 20 minutes a day!
