Hello, McDaniel families,

On Wednesday night, we celebrated the first graduating class of McDaniel High School at Providence Park. It was an amazing night and we enjoyed celebrating with our students as families.

It's hard to believe that the 2020-2021 school year is over --the last day of school was Friday, June 11th for all students.

All students should plan to return all of their checked-out library books, textbooks, novels, and calculators Monday or Tuesday at Marshall Campus between 8 am - 3:30 pm. Please remember that ANY student who is returning to McDaniel HS or will be participating in summer school can keep their Chromebook and Hotspot.

We are preparing to pack up and leave Marshall campus because Benson needs to move it. This means that we will not have a physical building until the end of August.

Please note that you can still leave a voicemail on the main school phone number at 503-916-5220 - someone will return your call during the week. All of the other extensions for staff will be new for next year and no longer work as of Friday.

Some of you received phone calls or messages inviting your student to participate in our McDaniel HS credit completion Bootcamp. The purpose of this Bootcamp is for students to complete a class (es) from the 2nd semester.

Please note that the first day of Bootcamp will be at Marshall Campus from 9 am - 12:00 pm. Remember that masks are required even if students are vaccinated.

The remainder of the days for Bootcamp will take place at Franklin High School which is located at 5405 SE Woodward - the students will enter through the front door. The closest bus stop to the school is on SE 52nd and Woodward.

Here are the dates that students will be working with McDaniel HS teachers.

Please note that students can wear their McDaniel lanyards and bring their Chromebooks if they still have them checked out.

The Leap into 9th and 10th Grade summer program prepares incoming ninth and tenth-grade students to excel in high school by building a foundation for success before starting high school.

McDaniel HS incoming 9th graders and rising 10th graders can apply to attend.
