Message from the Principal
Dear Parents,
As the school year comes to a close, I receive frequent questions regarding student placement for next school year. Teachers and administrators give a great deal of thought into student placement. As in past years, there may be some teacher movement between grade levels as well as the possibility of teachers transferring or leaving for other ventures. Therefore, the teachers assigned to any grade level may differ from year to year, and likewise, those assigned to teach students with differing learning styles or abilities may also vary. We are fortunate to have a highly qualified teaching staff that is skilled at meeting the needs of a range of student learners.
Please be reminded that for many reasons we do not take parent requests for specific teachers, nor are we able to guarantee that every child has a perfect teacher match. There are, however, occasions when you may want to make us aware of significant concerns related to your child’s placement. If this is the case, share your concerns with me in writing, either via email or letter, no later than Monday, May 6. Any information that you provide should be based on the needs of your child and how he/she learns best. Please include what traits and characteristics you seek in a teacher that will support your child’s learning.
Thank you in advance for working together to support our school!
Sincerely,
Courtney Jones, Principal
