Corron Mission Statement
From the Principal
Corron Parents:
Our staff theme for this school year is “Lean on Me”. Because this year looks so different, we are trying to remind each other that we need to reach out and lean on others in order to take care of our students and ourselves.
I have done a lot of leaning on the Corron families already this year. I can’t tell you how much it has helped to have parents follow all of our new expectations and provide feedback as to what is working on their end and how we can make our procedures more efficient. Thank you for working together with us as a team in order to ensure that our students can remain in school and stay healthy and safe. I know everything isn’t perfect, and there have been frustrations along the way. The most important part is that students are here, they are happy, and they are staying healthy. I look forward to our continued partnership as we move forward with our ‘20-’21 school year!
Enjoy your long weekend!

Your child will now have 4 weeks worth of certification cards in their tag holder. Please make sure you sign them each day after you have gone online to certify your child.
Curriculum Nights
Due to the fact that we started school later, Curriculum Nights have been moved to September 8th for K-2 and September 10th for 3-5. Our format will look quite different than in the past. Teachers will be sending out a recorded presentation before the end of the day Friday, September 4th. Along with the presentation, they will share a survey for parents to fill out with questions after they have viewed the presentation. Then on the assigned evening, teachers will hold two separate sessions (6:00 and 6:30) to address the questions that were sent in. They will be speaking specifically to their own curriculum and routines for their grade level.
Mrs. Balaskovits will also be sending out a presentation reviewing our vision and goals. If there are questions that are specific to our new procedures or expectations schoolwide, please email those to her and she can address those that are common and for the good of all families in her presentation.
Remote Curriculum Night
The dates for curriculum nights for our remote learners are September 8 for K-2 and September 10 for 3-5. Your child’s teacher will send additional information regarding curriculum nights.
From the Health Office
Please see the latest info from the IDPH Exclusion Guidline below.
Devices charged and brought back each night
Now that all of our students are 1:1 with devices, the expectation is that they bring their device home each night to charge it. We do not have the capacity to do that here at school, and some of their assignments will require use of technology. Please be sure to remind your child to charge their iPad or Chromebook, then have them put it back in their backpack to bring to school each day.

Chat
A live chat service is available for device and system support. This is the best way for families to receive fast technical support for district devices and services. The virtual IT team will be available to assist Monday-Friday between 8:00am - 4:00pm, but if you leave a message, support staff will follow up the next business day. Chat support can be accessed by going to https://helpdesk.d303.org/chat/
