The final busy stretch of the year is upon us with less than two weeks to graduation. Today, the golfers are competing at the Divisional meet in Anaconda. This past weekend, the State Music Festival was held in Helena with great results. Here are the results:

Breanna Humphrey and Merrill Steketee Duet received an Excellent rating

Kendall Simpson received an Excellent solo rating

Liuda Karaseva received an Excellent solo rating

Christian Peterson received a Superior rating on his solo

Merrill Steketee and Ellie Youde Duet received a Superior rating

Maddie Mann and Christian Peterson Duet received a Superior rating

Senior Ensemble of Zach Evans, Caleb Holmes, Alayna Johnson, Maddie Mann, Christian Peterson, Kendall Simpson, Emily Sonsteng, and Noah Youde received an Excellent rating


The JHS Student Art Show will be held in the North Gym tonight May 1oth from 7:00-8:00 p.m. It will continue all day on Wednesday and Thursday.


JHS Drama present "Rivet" and "The Long Lost Lederhosen Scene" on May 12th and 13th at 7:30 p.m. in the South gym. Adult tickets are $7 and students are $5. The show "Rivet" will also be performed on May 14th in Butte, Montana at the Butte Central High School theater. The theater entrance is located on the corner of Galena and Idhao streets in uptown Butte. The show will begin at 7:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to showcase the talents of JHS students.


The track team has had great success recently and will be competing in Districts this Saturday in Bozeman. This past weekend the boys won the meet held in Missoula. Nick Winfield won the 100 meters, Rahkei Eyer won the 800 meters, and both relay times were winners. Trase LeTexier won the shot with a personal best of 50 feet 2.5 inches. 2nd place finishers included Nick Winfield in the 200 meters, and AJ Eckmann in both the 800 and 1600 meters.


The girls tennis team had a good showing at Lone Peak this past weekend as they prepare for upcoming post season tournaments.


Next Wednesday, a barbecue will be held in the Outdoor Classroom, an opportunity to celebrate with the JHS seniors, Graduation Matters, and dedication of the new pavilion. The scheduled start time is noon.
