Caseload Analysis
Coaches that attended our October 8, 2018 training were introduced to the Caseload Analysis. If you were unable to attend, you'll be happy to hear that the files shared that day are attached in this month's newsletter including the power point and blank caseload analysis forms.
Caseload analysis gives teams a way to objectively analyze the individual needs of caseload students, see a big picture plan of supports and communicate those systems to other teachers supporting the student(s). First, teams consider demographics such as eligibility, time in LRE, grades, behavior referrals, attendance, achievement scores and other pertinent data. Then teams consider how supports are provided through mapping out individualized supports in the Caseload Analysis Delivery. At a quick glance, caseload teachers can see what the support is most needed or also where there are gaps in the supports we provide.
We will be asking coaches to analyze the needs of your students with ASD to help us continue to proactively address needs across your buildings and districts. We encourage you to pilot this tool with at least one caseload of students in your programs. If your first START coaches meeting has not been established, your Coach Leader(s) will be reaching out soon to set a date and resume our bi-monthly coaches meetings.
