For 6th Grade Families: Student-Led Conferences/Conferencia estudiantil guiada por estudiantes
Our Lincoln sixth graders have been busy preparing for their Student-Led Conferences on the morning of Wednesday, October 26th. It is a demanding, yet worthwhile, task. They are reflecting on their past performance, thinking about their goals for the future, and developing strategies to reach those goals.
Students are preparing a detailed script and in some cases a slide show to help them remain focused while conducting the conference, which is expected to take approximately 35-minutes to complete.
Invitations to families were sent home at the beginning of the week. If you haven’t received an invitation from your child, please ask your child because your invitation may be at the bottom of her/his backpack or hopefully in a folder.
In addition, we like to host a community breakfast for sixth grade families in the cafeteria on that same morning. We need parent help organizing food donations and the set-up and clean-up of the cafeteria. If you or someone you know would be willing to help the sixth grade team, please contact Beth DeBeech at bdebeech@smmusd.org. The breakfast is such a lovely part of the morning because families can enjoy a special treat before or after their conference. PLEASE DONATE to OUR COMMUNITY BREAKFAST using this SIGN-UP Genius Link.
We are looking forward to welcoming to these meaningful conferences with your child.

The updated COVID-19 boosters are formulated to better protect against currently circulating variants.
Most school staff and many high school students received their primary series of COVID-19 vaccination more than a year ago; boosters doses help restore protection that has waned since previous vaccinations.
