The first piece of secular music written in America was the song “My Days Have Been So Wondrous Free,” written by Francis Hopkinson in 1759. It is important to note that the classical period ended before Beethoven died.
.The first American composer is usually considered to be William Billings (1746–1800).Muammer Sun (born October 15, 1932 in Ankara) is a Turkish composer of classical music . A group of composers emerged in New England in about 1880—all versed in mainstream European Romanticism. They included John Knowles Paine, George Whitefield Chadwick, Horatio Parker, and Arthur Foote.
(c.1750 - c.1830) The Baroque era witnessed the creation of a number of musical genres which would maintain a hold on composition for years to come, yet it was the Classical period which saw the introduction of a form which has dominated instrumental composition to the present day: sonata form.
Classical music is art music produced or rooted in the traditions of Western music, including both liturgical (religious) and secular music. While a similar term is also used to refer to the period from 1750-1820.
