Fall PSAT Prep Camp

Program Description

The McKinney ISD Fall PSAT Preparation Program targets junior students (School Year 2016-17) for instruction that can help increase their scores on the October 2016 PSAT/NMSQT. The instructors for the prep sessions are MISD teachers, who have been trained in instructional content and strategies for the PSAT and new SAT 2016. They are experienced veteran teachers, who conducted PSAT/SAT training for several years in a variety of settings and to a variety of student populations. Students will receive and work through extensive materials designed to improve their performance on the math, verbal, and writing portions of the test.

· Dates: October 8 and October 15th , 2016

· Time: 8 am to noon

· Location: McKinney High School, F 100, D 109, D 111, D 113.

· Fee: $ 90 per student

· Materials: The Official Study Guide for the Redesigned SAT (The College Board) and SAT mock test (provided).

Students are to bring pencils, calculator and note-taking device.

Each PSAT/SAT prep session can enroll up to 75 students and will close once full capacity is reached. To enroll and for more information, please access the MISD parent site or enroll directly online.

Compliance Training

Don't forget to complete the required MISD compliance trainings. Friday, September 30th is the last day. I hear that Mark Bayer is willing to tutor anyone that is having trouble with the questions.

Nuts & Bolts Reminders

  • Continue to monitor dress code each class period. Send any students in violation to House Principals.
  • Please help with the student traffic in the hallway. Make sure your students have a blue or yellow hallway pass. If you need a replacement, see Ms. Cope.
  • If you see students congregating around the flex spaces during lunches, help us clear those areas out.
