October Meeting

Lights! Camera! Action! Using Digital Media in Your Online Course

Moving from the classroom to online creates a certain amount of "distance" between the instructor and the student. Video is an excellent way to create engagement in the online course. Video---not only as movies---but as digital media such as screencasts, whiteboarding, podcasts, and presentations.

Research shows it is a valuable addition in the online environment. In this session, we will showcase some examples, explore ways you can use these different types of media, discuss best practices as well as challenges. We will also highlight the many tools available for you to use.
